2021: Year in Review - Love Is Project turns 5

We are grateful for all our supporters and partners this year. We're thankful for all our artisan partners' hard work. The positive feedback from our community and wins keep us going and validate our concept. The challenges are what make us stronger and more resilient as a small business. 

Here's a roundup of all of the press, collaborations, celebrity sightings, and more we’ve had this year. 

Press:

• Shark Tank- In February, Chrissie and Gladys faced the Sharks and pitched the brand! Although they didn’t get any offers, the Sharks (especially guest Shark Alex Rodriguez!) LOVED us! Read more about our experience  here.
• Facebook- For Women’s History Month, Chrissie and Gladys were featured in a  short video on Facebook’s main page!
• Forbes- Our founder Chrissie Lam was chosen to be on  Forbes’ Next 1000 list! The Forbes Next 1000 list honors small business and company owners who have exceptional drive and self-starting abilities.
• Good Morning America- Our Pink Seed Bead bracelets were picked to be on the Today Show’s  Deals & Steals list!

Collaborations:

• The White Feather Foundation- We partnered with The White Feather Foundation and Julien Lennon to create the white feather necklace and wrist cuffinspired by indigenous people’s culture and heritage. 5% of the proceeds went towards The White Feather Foundation’s missions.

• This Saves Lives- For the 2021 holiday season we partnered with Kristen Bell’s organization to make our limited edition  Love Saves gift box. Your purchase empowers Kenyan women by creating jobs as well as providing nutrient-rich food to support their children’s health.

• Lovepop Cards- United by a passion for sharing love, we partnered with fellow Shark Tank alumni  Lovepop to create something truly magical: beautiful 3D cards with dazzling bracelets for Mothers’ Day.

Celebrities:

• Alessandro Michele- Gucci’s creative director loves our Menage a Trois Collection!

• Avantika- This Disney star wore our  Gold and Silver Alchemy Bracelets on the cover of NYLON Magazine!

• Pierson Wodzynski- TikTokker Pierson wore our  Kali and Bollywood Bracelets on the red carpet of the AMAS. She was on the “Best Dressed” list too!

• 
• Julien Lennon- The musician and founder of The White Feather Foundation rocked our  TWFF x Love Is Project Camel Bone White Feather Necklace. 
• Rachael Proctor- influencer Rachel Proctor  adorned herself in our Bali UNITY Collection and Bali Friendship Bracelets. 
• Tory Johnson- Good Morning America Deals host loves our  Open Your Heart upcycled cow horn necklace.

• Lex Scott Davis- ABC’s “The Rebel” actress stunned in our  Alchemy Silver bracelet
• Kawika Shoji- Bronze Medal Olympian  repped our Original LOVE Bracelet before killing it at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics this summer!
